Palecek Unveils New Expanded Showroom at the New York Design Center
The fresh additional space in its New York Showroom will be a dedicated showcase for PALECEK’s extensive and ever-expanding collections of outdoor furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
Richmond, CA – Sept. 2021 PALECEK moved up to the 7th floor at the New York Design Center (NYDC).
A leading manufacturer and wholesaler of unforgettable and unexpected home furnishings, PALECEK has served the design community from a handsome sixth-floor NYDC showroom at 200 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan for several years.
But when two other showrooms, located in immediate proximity to one another, recently became simultaneously available on 200 Lex’s seventh floor, PALECEK leapt at the rare opportunity to move within the building and substantially expand its NYDC footprint.
The two seventh-floor showrooms are situated across the hall from one another in the iconic 200 Lex building. Taking over these close-but-separate spaces allows PALECEK to create two distinct showcases—one fully dedicated to outdoor and the other to interior furnishings, lighting, and accessories—while still offering seamless, integrated access to the company’s broad range of sophisticated and timeless designs.
The PALECEK team at the NYDC will grow with the expanded space. The addition of a second showroom means bringing on additional staff to serve and support designers and clients.
“We’re so excited about this move,” says PALECEK Chief Creative Officer Andrew T. Palecek. “Our new and expanded location gives all of our product more space and enhances the shopping experience. We know clients and designers will appreciate the new visual merchandising, expanded footprint, and ability to experience more of our vast assortment of furnishings and decorative elements firsthand on the showroom floor.”
Jim Druckman, President and CEO of the NYDC, is also delighted about the move.
“PALECEK has expanded three times during their 15 years to date at 200 Lex, which is a testament to the importance of and the need for their product in our New York marketplace,” Druckman says. “We are thrilled to be part of PALECEK’s growth, excited that they have an important footprint at the NYDC, and proud to be associated with the company. PALECEK is truly part of the 200 Lex family.”
Luxury designers and longtime PALECEK collaborators Jeffrey Alan Marks and Kirk Nix, whose respective designs for PALECEK have proved enormously popular in the greater New York and eastern US markets (and beyond), have also voiced support for the expansion of the New York Showroom.
Says Nix, “As part of the PALECEK family, I am thrilled to be able to share yet more amazing product at the expanded showroom at 200 Lex, an incomparable location.”
Marks adds, “It’s been a highlight of my career to grow with the PALECEK family over the past ten years, and I’m no less excited about this move. Our recent collection together reflects the relaxed and refined nature of California design. I look forward to seeing these pieces in PALECEK’s new NYDC showroom—and to whatever comes next!”
While the NYDC showrooms are just one of PALECEK’s eight permanent to-the-trade showroom locations, 200 Lex is an important venue for the company. “We thank Jim Druckman and everyone at the NYDC for making 200 Lex the premier home furnishings destination in New York City,” says Andrew Palecek.
